Dental check up
Regular dental check-ups are important as they allow your dentist to detect any dental problems and help you maintain a healthy mouth. Ignoring these problems can make them more difficult to treat in the future, so it’s best to address them early on or even prevent them from occurring. If you have Czech health insurance, you are eligible for one annual check-up covered by your insurance company.
Book your appointmentDental hygiene
Good dental hygiene is crucial for maintaining a clean and healthy mouth, teeth, and gums, and for preventing oral diseases. Despite its importance, it is often overlooked. Our dental hygienist can assist you in selecting the appropriate tools, starting with the right toothbrush, interdental brush, and other teeth-cleaning accessories. She will also provide guidance on the proper brushing technique. Afterwards, she will perform a scaling procedure to remove any plaque or tartar build-up.
How does teeth tartar form?
If plaque is not removed regularly and thoroughly, minerals in your saliva combine with plaque to form crystals that harden into tartar.
How do I remove tartar from teeth?
Although plaque can be eliminated by proper brushing and flossing at home, dental calculus requires professional removal at a dental office. Your dentist or hygienist will utilize sharp instruments to scale the tartar above and below the gum line. Additionally, they will smooth the tooth’s surface, which will help prevent plaque from adhering and further tartar from forming.
Why is it essential to prevent dental calculus buildup?
Tartar is a build-up of hardened plaque on teeth, which has a rough surface that makes it hard to remove with just a toothbrush and floss. Tartar can be unsightly and appear yellow or brown due to stains that accumulate on it. It has the potential to contribute to tooth decay, bad breath, and severe gum disease, as it attracts more plaque and makes cleaning at home more difficult.
Book your appointmentDental fillings
Tooth decay occurs when bacteria in dental plaque convert sugars into acid, leading to damage in a tooth. The most important factor in ensuring a long-lasting filling is detecting decay early and treating it with a high-quality dental filling material. We opt for a filling material that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
What to expect?
When getting a dental filling, the dentist may use local anesthesia to numb the affected area. They may also use a rubber dam to isolate the tooth and create a clean and dry environment for placing the composite filling. The decayed area is then removed, and the tooth may be treated with an acid gel before applying the bonding material. Finally, the composite filling is placed. Using bonded fillings can help reduce the risk of decay or leakage.
Book your appointmentRoot canal treatment
Root canal treatment involves removing the pulp of a tooth, which is a small, thread-like tissue located in the center of the tooth. In the past, teeth with diseased or injured pulps were extracted. However, modern root canal treatment can save many teeth that would otherwise need to be removed.
What to except?
Root canal treatment involves several steps and usually takes multiple visits. During the first visit, the dentist delivers a local anesthetic, isolates the tooth with a rubber dam, and removes the diseased pulp. If more visits are needed, a disinfection paste is placed in the root canals and a temporary filling is put in place. During the second visit, the dentist removes the temporary filling and seals the canals with gutta-percha. A filling is then made and a crown is placed over the tooth to restore its natural shape and appearance.
Book your appointmentReplacement for missing tooth or teeth
A bridge is a dental prosthesis that is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is a fixed device that is made by taking an impression of the surrounding teeth, which will eventually support the bridge. The procedure involves drilling and preparing the adjacent teeth for a crown, taking impressions, placing provisional crowns or bridge on the prepared teeth, and finally placing the final bridge made by the dental technician. Unlike dentures, a bridge is usually created from porcelain and will be fixed in your mouth permanently.
Dental implants
Dental implants are a commonly used method for replacing missing teeth. They are a reliable and permanent solution that looks and feels like a real tooth. Whether you need to replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in different areas, dental implants can provide a long-lasting solution. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. However, the process of placing a dental implant can be lengthy. First, metal screws are used to replace the tooth’s root, which will serve as an anchor for the false tooth. After that, you will need to wait for a few months to allow the implant to heal completely and fuse with your jawbone. Once the implant is fully healed, a dental crown will be placed on top and secured.

Porcelain veneers
Are you looking for a bright and beautiful smile? Consider porcelain veneers, also known as ceramic veneers. These thin layers of ceramics are applied to the visible part of the teeth to enhance the appearance of your smile. Porcelain veneers can improve your natural teeth’ shape, color, and position. The latest porcelain veneers are designed to behave like natural enamel. They can firmly adhere to dental enamel and resist wearing out, staining, and color changes over time.
Lip filler injections
Do you wish to have fuller and supple lips? If so, then lip filler injections can help you achieve that. As time passes, lips tend to lose their volume and appear thinner due to various factors such as ageing, sun exposure, and hormonal changes. Dermal filler injections can instantly restore the lost fullness, creating a subtle yet visible difference that lasts up to a year.
Teeth whitening
Home whitening is an effective way to get a beautiful, bright smile. The first step is creating custom trays that fit your teeth perfectly. These trays hold the whitening gel on your teeth and should be worn every day for 4-6 hours, depending on the concentration of the gel. You can expect to see results in 7-10 days.
Office whitening uses a higher concentration of whitening agents, making it more aggressive. To protect your gums and lips during this procedure, we take extra precautions. You can expect to see results after the first visit, but if you’d like to reach an even whiter shade, additional home whitening can be done.
